Internal evaluation

1. Background and purpose

The internal evaluation was aimed to review the outcomes, challenges and lessons learned of the recovery assistance projects within the GEJET Recovery Task Force and to reflect its results in improvement of further implementation of the projects for better outcomes. It also aimed to record and share various experiences as well as knowledge and skills obtained through the implementation of the projects in writing as institutional knowledge management.

2. Evaluation targets

The JRCS carried out internal evaluation annually on each projects intensively for the first two years in 2011 and 2012, and used the findings and the lessons learned from the evaluation to improve implementation of the programmes in the next years.

3. Evaluation methods

In the internal evaluation, a project officer in charge of each project recorded the development of the project and evaluated its outputs/outcomes and implementation process.
In the evaluation of the implementation process, project design, resource allocation, financial management, and progress management, etc. were summarized.
